titleOfInvention | Extraction of nonpolar substance |
abstract | PURPOSE: To efficiently extract nonpolar substances from polar substances in a liquid phase by bringing the liquid phase containing substances to be extracted into contact with a supercritical gas such as CO 2 flowing in a countercurrent direction in an extraction tower equipped with perforated trays. n CONSTITUTION: The liquid phase which contains the nonpolar substances such as n-paraffin as the substances to be extracted and which is a polar substance being a mixture compound of sulfonic acid, water and sulfuric acid is brought into contact with the supercritical gas such as CO 2 flowing in the countercurrent direction in the extraction tower equipped with perforated trays to extract and separate the nonpolar substances. As the extraction tower, a tower, which has perforated trays inside and an equipment for controlling a level of a heavy phase and for extracting the phase and which is substantially constituted of a high-pressure pipe, is preferable. Further the extraction tower in which the same trays are alternatively disposed by rotating by 180° to each other is preferable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO |
