titleOfInvention Method for regulating growth of paddy rice plant
abstract PURPOSE: To strengthen the root of paddy rice plant, prevent the lodging, suppress the growth of the above-ground part and promote the growth of underground part by applying a rhizome-growing agent containing phytic acid to soil. n CONSTITUTION: Phytic acid is applied as a rhizome-growing agent to soil optionally in a state neutralized with KOH, NaOH, K 2 HPO 4 , ammonia water, etc., especially KOH. The growing agent may be used in combination with fertilizer components such as nitrogen, phosphoric acid and K. Other components such as Mg, Mn, Ca, Si, Fe, Cu, Zn or Mo may be used in combination with the agent in addition to the fertilizer components, however, an antiprecipitant is required to prevent the formation of an insoluble salt with phytic acid. The antiprecipitant is preferably a combination of an organic acid such as citric acid or malic acid and an EDTA salt such as EDTA.2Na. The above process enables the strengthening of the root system of paddy rice plant, prevention of lodging and regulation of growth of the plant. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
