titleOfInvention | Production of polyester film |
abstract | PURPOSE:To decrease the number of coarse projections and improve the slipperiness by mixing two polyester resins contg. inert inorg. particles having mean particle diameters different from each other and melt extruding the mixture into a film. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resin (A) is prepd. by compounding 0.1-5.0wt.% inert inorg. particles (e.g. CaCO3) having a mean particle diameter of 0.05-5mum into a crystalline polyester pref. comprising a polyethylene terephthalate contg. at least 80mol% repeating units consisting of ethylene terephthalate units. Separately, 0.003-0.5wt.% inert inorg. particles (e.g. kaoilnite) having a mean particle diameter of 0.002-1.0mum which is lower than that of the aforementioned particles is compounded into the crystalline polyester to give a polyester resin (B). The polyester resins A and B are mixed, and the mixture is melt extruded into a film. |
