titleOfInvention Solution of segmented polyurethane urea elastomer and filament and film made therefrom
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject solution having high solution viscosity and resisting to pasting by chain-extending a prepolymer obtained by reacting a high-molecular-weight dihydroxy compound with a diisocyanate with a chain extender and chain-stopping the polymer with a specified chain stopper. n CONSTITUTION: The objective solution is obtained by reacting a high-molecular- weight dihydroxy compound with an excess of a diisocyanate in the presence of a tin catalyst in desirably dimethylacetamide, chain-extending the obtained NCO prepolymer with a chain extender and chain-stopping the polymer with a chain stopper comprising a prim. or sec. cycloaliphatic monoamine or cycloaliphatic monoisocyanate of formulae I to VI [wherein R is H, a 1-4C (cyclo)alkyl or the like; R 1 to R 3 are each H or a 1-4C alkyl] and used in an amount 0.5-7 equivalent % based on the NCO equivalent of the NCO prepolymer. This solution is spun or dried and coagulated to obtain a filament or a film having stability against light and noxious gases. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
