titleOfInvention Production of thermosetting covering sheet and covered material
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosetting covering sheet in an uncured state or semicured state, being applied to the surface of article, being thermally cured, providing the surface of article with desired function by blending a specific reactive acrylic resin with blocked isocyanate and functional imparter. n CONSTITUTION: A reactive acrylic resin which contains plural hydroxyl groups and/or carboxyl groups, has 100,000-1,000,000 weight-average molecular weight and is solid at normal temperature is blended with a blocked isocyanate and a functional imparter (preferably rust preventive, luster adjuster, photochromic compound, electroconductive material or condensation inhibitor) and, if necessary, unblocked isocyanate and one or more of melamine-based crosslinking agent and epoxy-based crosslinking agent to give a thermosetting covering sheet which is applied, carries out after-processing such as bending processing or drawing processing before curing, has excellent thermal stability and will not be cured during preservation. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
