titleOfInvention Production of deodorizing fiber structure
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title structure having excellent washing resistance by treating a fiber structure using conjugate yarn composed of specific components with an alkalizing agent, partially dissolving and removing the components, providing the surface of the structure with a deodorant and a film-forming resin and heat-treating. n CONSTITUTION: A fiber structure which consists of a component A containing an inorganic deodorant (e.g. physical deodorant such as silica gel or chemical deodorant such as iron sulfate) in a polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate and a polymer component B having excellent film-forming properties and for example, is made of conjugate yarn forming core and skin wherein the component A is exposed to part of the surface of the fiber, is treated with an aqueous solution such as sodium hydroxide, the component A is partially dissolved and removed, a mixture consisting of a deodorant (e.g. one having excellent deodorizing properties on basic smell) showing high deodorizing effects and a resin having film-forming properties is stuck to the surface of the fiber structure and the fiber structure is heat-treated to give a deodorizing fiber structure highly deodorizing both basic and acidic smell components and having excellent washing resistance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
