titleOfInvention Production of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid derivative
abstract PURPOSE: To enable easy and safe obtaining of the subject derivative in high purity and yield by treating a specific compound in the presence of fungal cells belonging to the genus Candida or a culture thereof, etc. n CONSTITUTION: A strain of Candida cylindracea is cultured in a desired culture medium to provide a culture (A), which is then subjected to collection of fungal cells, washing and drying thereof to afford fungal cells (B). The resultant ingredient (B) is further subjected to extraction treatment to provide an extract (C) (e.g. a commercially available enzymic agent Lipase OF(R)). On the other hand, animal pancreas of cattle, etc., are subsequently extracted to afford a pancreatic extract (D) [e.g. Cholesterol Esterase(R) (manufactured by Sigma Chemical Co.)]. One of the ingredients (A) to (D) in an amount of 0.01-0.5 based on a compound (E) expressed by the formula (R is lower alkyl or benzyl or phenyl having a substituent group) or salt thereof with hydrochloric acid, etc., is added to a solution thereof in water or a buffer solution such as citric acid in 5-30wt./ vol.% concentration and reacted at 20-40°C and pH 4-7 for 5-20hr. The resultant reaction solution is regulated to a pH about 7 to produce 4'-(2''-carboxyethyl) phenyl trans-4-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylate and a salt thereof. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
