abstract |
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (M is Ni, Pt or Pd; R 1 to R 4 are alkyl or H; at least one of R 1 to R 4 is ≥3C alkyl). n EXAMPLE: Bis(4,4'-di-tert-butyl-dithiobenzyl)nickel. n USE: A thin film can be produced by Langmuir Blodgett process and the film is useful as a recording layer of an optical recording medium. n PREPARATION: The objective compound can be produced by reacting phosphorus sulfide to a benzoin compound of formula II containing 50-100mol% of alkyl- substituted benzoin having ≥3C alkyl and reacting the product with a halide of a metal such as Ni, Pd or Pt or with a potassium halide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
