| abstract | NEW MATERIAL:3,7-Dimethyl-7-vinyl-2,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-azepine-2-one. n USE: An immunosuppressive agent having mitogen activity-suppressive effect. n PREPARATION: For example, dried fruits (including seeds and bran) of Acacia concinna is extracted using an alcohol, and the liquid extract obtained is made acidic, followed by shaking with an organic solvent and the aqueous layer is collected. Ammonium hydroxide is then added to this aqueous layer to make its pH value 11 followed by saturation with e.g. sodium chloride and then extraction with an organic solvent taking advantage of salting out effect.
