titleOfInvention Recording material
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance the storage stability of a developed color image by using at least one kind of a specific phenolic compound as a coupler. n CONSTITUTION: In a recording material utilizing the color forming reaction between a colorless-light-colored leuco dye and a coupler developing the leuco dye at the time of contact, at least one kind of a phenolic compound represented by formula I is used as the coupler. In the formula I, R is an aryl group which may have a substituent, pref., a phenyl group, naphthyl group or a phenyl or naphthyl group which is substituted with an alkyl group such as a methyl group or an ethyl group or an alkoxy group such as a methoxy group or an ethoxy group, X is a nitrile group or a halogen atom and n is an integer of 1 or 2. As the leuco dye, a triphenylmethane dye, a fluorane dye, a phenothiazine dye, an auramine dye, a spiropyran dye or an indolinophthalide dye are pref. used. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
