New phenoxythiophene derivative |
abstract |
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (R 1 and R 2 are H or halogen; A is methanesulfonyl or trifluoroacetyl; B is lower alkyl). n EXAMPLE: 2-Acetyl-4-methanesulfonylamino-5-phenoxythiophene. n USE: An anti-inflammatory drug and an analgesic also useful as a herbicide having excellent action and safety free from side effects. n PREPARATION: A nitro group of a compound shown by formula II is reduced by hydrogenation or with stannous chloride and converted into an amino group to give a compound shown by formula III. Then this compound is reacted with methanesulfonyl chloride in the presence of a base at -30 to 30°C to give a sulfonamide derivative shown by formula I. Further this compound is reacted with trifluoroacetyl chloride or trifluoroacetic anhydride in the presence of a base at -30 to 30°C to give trifluoroacetamide derivative shown by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
