titleOfInvention Production of pyrazole carboxylic acid esters
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound for intermediate or herbicide in high yield by reacting pyrazole carboxylic acid compound with alcohols with using tetraalkoxytitanate, polymer of said compound or a compound modified with polymerization as a catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: Pyrazole carboxylic acid expressed by formula I [X and Y are H, halogen, nitro, cyano, COOR 1 , NR 1 R 2 , COR 1 SO 2 NR 1 R 2 or SO 2 R 1 (R 1 and R 2 are 1-4C alkyl); A is H or 1-4C alkyl] (e.g. 2,5-dichloro-1-methyl pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid) is reacted with alcohols expressed by formula II (R is 1-4C alkyl). In said reaction, alkoxytitanate, polymer of alkoxytitanate or modified compound by polymerization (e.g., tetraisopropyltitanate) is used as a catalyst to afford pyrazole carboxylic acid esters expressed by formula III. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
