PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having improved solubility in aqueous solution and high absorbability through digestive tracts by using an amorphous material containing a specific compound useful as a hypotensor and a pH-dependent methacrylic copolymer as an active component. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains, as an active component, an amorphous material containing methyl 3-phenyl-2(E)-propenyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6- dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate useful as a hypotensor and a pH-dependent methacrylic copolymer. The pH-dependent methacrylic copolymer is e.g. a trimethylammonium salt of a copolymer of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, more concretely, Eudragit L, etc. The amount of the copolymer is preferably 30-1,000 pts.wt. per 100 pts. wt. of the hypotensive compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
