abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a trichophytosis vaccine containing an antigen derived from a dermatophyte and a proper carrier. n CONSTITUTION: A culture product of a dermatophyte such as Microsporus canis, Microsporus gypsum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes is mixed with an action substance (e.g. formaldehyde) capable of destroying dermatophytes and preventing admixture of unspecified fungi and bacteria. The culture product is homogenized and sucked through a filter to give a prepared substance of an antigen. The prepared substance is combined with a carrier such as aluminum hydroxide, an isotonic solution or a Ringer's solution formulated with lactic acid to give a trichophytosis vaccine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
