abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain tasty water free of odors and bacteria by providing a sterilizing lamp and an IR radiation source in a low-temp. water storage tank connected to a water purifying unit packed with antibacterial activated carbon and a hollow-fiber membrane. n CONSTITUTION: The water purifying unit 6 connected to city water and a water storage tank 4 are provided in a refrigerating chamber, antibacterial activated carbon 9 is provided on the water intake side of the unit 6, and further a hollow-fiber membrane 13 is charged to remove the impurities and bacteria in city water. The water is held at low temp. (3-10°C) in the tank 4, irradiated with the sterilizing lamp 25 and sterilized, and the water is further irradiated with an electromagnetic wave 27 (far IR) at the water outlet of the tank 4. Consequently, the impurities and bacteria are efficiently filtered off, the repropagation of bacteria is prevented, the water is activated to reduce the size of water molecule, and tasty water is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
