titleOfInvention Production of phosphoric acid ester
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject ester having high purity and quality in high yield by adding specific amounts of an organic hydroxyl compound and a base to an organic solvent solution of phosphorus oxyhalide under specific condition and hydrolyzing the product. n CONSTITUTION: The objective ester comprising a phosphoric acid monoester or symmetrical phosphoric acid polyester can be produced by adding and reacting (A) essentially stoichiometric amount of an organic hydroxyl compound (e.g. ethyl alcohol) corresponding to the structure of the objective phosphoric acid ester and (B) a base (e.g. triethylamine) of an amount essentially equivalent to the hydroxyl compound to (C) an organic solvent solution (e.g. hexane solution) containing ≤30wt.% of preferably a phosphorus oxyhalide while keeping the addition rate of the hydroxyl compound to ≤0.06mol/min per 1mol of the phosphorus oxyhalide at the start of the reaction (the reaction temperature is maintained to ≤15°C), removing the addition salt from the reaction product and hydrolyzing the product. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
