abstract | PURPOSE: To easily obtain the subject compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for pharmaceutical compound with simple operation on an industrial scale at a low cost in high yield without using copper compound by partially hydrolyzing an aspartic acid dibenzyl ester with a base. n CONSTITUTION: The objective compound useful as aspartyl-seryl-aspartyl-prolyl- arginyl, etc., which is a polypeptide having excellent antiallergic action can be produced by partially hydrolyzing (A) 1 mol of aspartic acid benzyl ester derived from aspartic acid and benzyl alcohol or its salt such as p- toluenesulfonic acid salt with (B) 1.8-2.4mol (especially preferably 2.0-2.2mol) of a base such as NaOH or KOH in a mixture of an organic solvent (e.g. tetrahydrofuran or acetone) and water at 0°C to room temperature, preferably 0-150°C. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
