abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a dyeing agent composition for keratinous fiber, composed of a developing substance and a specific coupling substance and capable of dyeing the keratinous fiber, such as hair, to blue color tone, having excellent dyeing properties, light fastness, discoloration, fading, washing and friction resistance with a high saturation. n CONSTITUTION: A composition containing a developing substance (e.g. p- phenylenediamine, toluene-2,5-diamine or N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine) and 2-amino-3-methoxy-6-aminopyridine or a salt thereof (e.g. a salt with an inorganic or organic acid, such as hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric, acetic, propionic, lactic or citric acid) as a coupling substance.
