abstract PURPOSE: To provide the subject composition giving the cured product having excellent mechanical properties, durability, operability, adhesivity, etc., by containing a pigment surface-treated with a titanate coupling agent, a radically polymerizable monomer and a radical polymerization initiator. n CONSTITUTION: A light-shielding composition contains (A) a pigment such as TiO 2 or WO 3 surface-treated with a titanate coupling agent (e.g. isopropyldimethalisostearoyl titanate), (B) a radical polymerizable monomer such as methyl (meth)acrylate ester or an alkanepolyol (meth)acrylate and (C) a radical polymerization initiator such as an organic peroxide or azo compound. The addition of an acidic group-containing monomer containing at least one (meth)acryloyl group, such as an aromatic polycarboxylic acid containing (meth)acryloyl groups, to the composition permits to improve especially the adhesivity of the composition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
