titleOfInvention Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the decomposition of an electrolyte and the generation of gas when the charging voltage is increased and obtain a secondary battery with a long cycle life by containing 3-cyano-tetrhydrofuran in the nonaqueous electrolyte. n CONSTITUTION: The atom density on C atoms is sharply decreased by the high electron suction property of the cyano group in 3-CN-THF, when the positive electrode potential is increased during charging, electrons are not deprived of, and oxidation decomposition rarely occurs. C atoms have positive charges, the atom density on adjacent O atoms is increased to stabilize them, they have negative charges, the electron distribution is expanded, thus the mutual action with alkaline metal ions such as Li is weak, and an electrochemically active deposition state is obtained in the charging process. The negative electrode charge-discharge efficiency is high. When this nonaqueous electrolyte is used for the battery with a positive electrode 3 and a negative electrode 6 made of alkaline metal or alloy, the safe secondary battery with a long cycle life and high reliability is obtained. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
