abstract PURPOSE: To allow the lubricity and water repellency of the surface to be controlled by irradiation with light by incorporating a specific perfluoroalkyl group into the org. compd. n CONSTITUTION: The perfluoroalkyl group expressed by formula I is incorporated into the org. compd. In the formula I, R 1 denotes CF 3 -(CF 2 )- k -(C 6 H 4 ) t -(CF 2 ) m -(CH 2 ) m or CF 3 (CF 2 ) k -(O-C 6 H 4 ) t -O-(CF 2 ) m -(CH 2 ) n (k is an integer 1 - 14; L denotes an integer 0 - 8; C 6 H 4 is a benzene ring; m is 1 to 8 integer; n is an integer 1 - 8; R 2 , R 3 respectively separately denote H, NO 2 or R 2 and R 3 together form a benzene ring; A denotes CH or N; B denotes O or S. The monomolecular film of this compd. is perpendicularly oriented when irradiated with UV light, by which the fluorine atom density of the surface is increased and the lubricity is improved. In addition, the water repellency of the surface is improved as well.
