abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and durability by incorporating a specified polycyclic compound in an electric charge transfer layer. n CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic sensitive body is composed essentially of a conductive substrate, a charge generating layer, and the charge transfer layer containing the polycyclic compound represented by formula I in which R 1 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, amino, or halogen, and A is a divalent 6-membered hetero ring having 2 - 3 hetero atoms and optionally condensed with a benzene ring. It is preferred to select a quinoxaline ring among the divalent hetero rings A from the viewpoint of easy synthesis and stability of an obtained intermediate, thus permitting sensitivity and durability to be enhanced and deterioration due to repeated uses to be reduced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
