titleOfInvention | Magneto-optical recording medium |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the magneto-optical recording medium which has excellent environmental resistance and high dynamic characteristics by providing metallic protective layers consisting of a titanium alloy contg. at least ≥1 kinds of metal Re, Cr and Ta in metal Ti to the required points as protective layers. n CONSTITUTION: The magneto-optical recording medium is formed of a substrate 1, a dielectric layer 2, the front surface metallic protective layer 3, a recording layer 4, the rear surface metallic protective layer 5, and the org. protective layer 6. A disk consisting of the Ti is used as a target and a chip of the metal consisting of any of the Re, Cr and Ta is disposed on the disk to form the front surface metallic layer 3. Gas 5N is then introduced into a vacuum vessel and the titanium alloy is deposited on the substrate by regulating the flow rate of the Ar. A disk consisting of a Tb 23 Fe 69 Co 8 alloy is used as a target and a TaFeCo alloy film is deposited as the magneto-optical recording layer 4. This laminate is taken out of a sputtering device and is mounted to a spin coater. The disk is then rotated and after the disk is coated with a UV ray curable resin, the disk is passed through a UV irradiation device to cure the resin. The org. protective layer 6 having a required thickness is thus obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
