titleOfInvention Polyester sheet with roughened surface
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester sheet, having great antireflecting effects on light within a visible light region with a roughened surface and suitable as window members or substrates for forming thin films by bringing a polyester sheet into contact with a polyhalogenated aliphatic alcohol and roughening the surface thereof. n CONSTITUTION: A polyester sheet (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate sheet) is brought into contact with a polyhalogenated aliphatic alcohol (e.g., hexafluoroisopropanol) to afford a sheet with a roughened surface consisting of large protrusions having 12-50μm bottom circle diameter and a height of 0.3-0.7 based on the above-mentioned bottom circle diameter and small protrusions having <12μm bottom circle diameter with ≥50% large protrusions. Conical protrusions are formed in close contact with the surface. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
