titleOfInvention Production of flexible magnetic disk
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the self-generation of dust of a non-woven fabric liner and to obtain the flexible disk having high reliability by immersing the non- woven fabric into a prescribed cleaning liquid and subjecting the fabric to ultrasonic cleaning at 20 to 200kHz before cutting the fabric. n CONSTITUTION: The long-sized and rolled non-woven fabric 12 is immersed into the cleaning liquid before the non-woven fabric is cut to a prescribed size. The non-woven fabric is applied in this state with 20 to 200kHz ultrasonic waves by an ultrasonic oscillator 18 and is thereby cleaned. For example, trichlorofluoromethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrachloro-1,2-difluoroethane, etc., are used as a solvent. Ball-like fibers of short fibers of about 10μm size produced at the time of production of the non-woven fabric are driven out of the non-woven fabric by this cleaning. Generation of missing errors generated at the time of writing and reading by dust and extra errors remaining after erasing of the recording is, therefore, obviated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
