titleOfInvention Body fluid pretreating apparatus
abstract PURPOSE:To perform rapid pretreatment of body fluids, e.g., blood, by a method wherein a fine tube for sampling body fluids is mounted to the one end of a cylindrical container in which a body fluid pretreating agent is contained, and a piston means capable of reciprocating in a state to be adhered to the inner wall of the container is mounted to the other end of the cylindrical container. CONSTITUTION:A pretreating agent 1 is contained in a cylindrical container 3, and a needle part 4 serving as a fine tube inserted in the blood tube of a human body and sampling body fluids, e.g., blood, is mounted to the one side of the cylindrical container 3. A piston part 6 to suck or push out body fluids is situated on the reverse side. A cover 7 to prevent contamination, leakage of liquid, and the damage of the tip of the needle part 4 is provided, and it is further desirable that a resilient substance 8, e.g., silicon rubber, through which the tip of the needle part 4 is pierced to keep closure, is attached. Activated coal to adsorb and remove an organism component, drug, and an adsorbent, e.g., ion exchange resin, are used as the pretreating agent. A filler responding to a purpose, e.g., a selection adsorbent, having a functional group on a surface and reacted and combined with a specified component, is used, where necessary.
