abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition being mild to the skin of the hand, having a weak defatting strength, rich quality of foam and a moderate viscosity and being useful for shampoos, face washing, tableware washing, etc., by mixing a specified alkyl ether sulfate salt with a tert. amine oxide. n CONSTITUTION: This liquid detergent composition is prepared by mixing an Na, K, NH 4 or triethanolamine salt of an alkyl ether sulfate with a tert. amine oxide of the formula (wherein R 1 is a 10-18C alkyl or alkenyl; and R 2 and R 3 are each 1-3C alkyl), for example, dimethyl-dodecylamine oxide in a weight ratio of 10:1-3:1.
