abstract NEW MATERIAL: 3,3,5-Trifluor-2,5-di(trifluoromethyl)-4-(1,1,2,2,2- pentafluoroethyoxy)-1,2,4-oxadiazolidine represented by formula I. n USE: Useful as a lubricant, a heat transfer medium and an electronic part testing fluid. n PREPARATION: 3,3,4,4-Tetrafluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2-oxazetidine of formula II is reacted with a Lewis acid (e.g. SbF 5 ) at 0-100°C for 1 minute to 24 hours to obtain a compound of formula I. The Lewis acid is used in an amount of 0.1-2.0 moles per mole of the compound of formula II and the reaction is batchwise carried out in an autoclave under self-pressurization. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
