titleOfInvention Polyethylene terephthalate resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition having improved melt stability, excellent mechanical characteristics and moldability and properties capable of readily crystallizing by blending polyethylene terephthalate resin with polyethylene having number-average molecular weight of specific value or below and crystal nucleating agent. n CONSTITUTION: The aimed resin composition obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate resin having ≥0.35, preferably ≥0.45 intrinsic viscosity (in orthochlorophenol, at 35°C) with (B) 0-200 pts.wt. filler, preferably surface-treated with a glass fiber having ≤0.9, especially ≤0.8 intrinsic viscosity, (C) 1-20 pts.wt., preferably 3-15 pts.wt. polyethylene having ≤10000, preferably ≤60000 number-average molecular weight and (D) crystal nucleating agent, preferably a talc having ≤20μm average particle size, ionic copolymer of α- olefin and α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid salt, etc., at amounts capable of promoting crystallization. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
