NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula I {wherein A 1 is a (substituted) aromatic heterocyclic group; A 2 is a benzene ring having up to 5 substituents in total; X is O, S or NR 1 [wherein R 1 is H, alkyl, acyl or alalkyl (an aryl part may be substituted) or (substituted) aryl]; Y is O or S but, when X is NR 1 , Y is not O; R 2 and R 3 are each H or combined to form a single bond; and n is 2-6}, its tautomer, its salt or its solvate. n EXAMPLE: 5-[4-((2-(2-Benzooxazolyl)oxy)ethoxy)benzyl]-2,4-thiazolidione. n USE: A treatment agent of hyperglycemia, hyperlipemia hypertension or a cordiovuscular system disease. n PROCESS: A compd. represented by formula II (wherein R z is H or a nitrogen protective group and R a is a group represented by formula III) and a reagent capable of converting the group; R a to the group represented by formula III are reacted. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
