titleOfInvention | Gaseous lp detector |
abstract | PURPOSE: To allow sure countermeasure against nonsensitiveness to alcohol by using two kinds of sensors; a tin oxide sensor having high alcohol sensitivity and tin oxide sensor having low alcohol sensitivity. n CONSTITUTION: The electric resistance value of the tin oxide sensor A11 is high in clean air and since an electromagnetic relay 14 is kept at the operating voltage or above, the sensor operates. Since a contact (a) is closed, the tin oxide sensor 15 functions to detect gaseous LP. The electric resistance value of the sensor 11 falls and the impressed voltage of the relay 14 falls to the operating voltage or below before the sensor 15 operates in an atmosphere contg. alcohol. The relay is then disabled and the contact (a) is opened; therefore, the error alarm from the sensor 15 is not generated. The sensor 11 has the lower sensitivity to isobutane than the sensitivity to alcohol in the air contg. isobutane which is the essential component of the gaseous LP. The electric resistance value does not fall so much as in case in the alcohol atmosphere. The relay 14 is, therefore, operated and the contact (a) is closed. The sensor 15 emits the gas detection alarm according to the concn. of the isobutane. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
