titleOfInvention | Web composed of ultrafine fiber of polyphenylene sulfide and production of the same web |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject ultrafine fiber having excellent flexibility and uniform thickness and suitable as a filter, etc., by forming a fiber having a specific average diameter using a melt-blow method. n CONSTITUTION: The objective web composed of ultrafine fibers having an average fiber diameter of 0.5-10μm is produced by melting a polyphenylene sulfide containing p-phenylene sulfide unit as ≥90% of the recurring unit and having a melt viscosity of preferably 200-1,200 poise at 320°C, extruding the molten polymer through an orifice of a nozzle into a hot gas stream and spraying the fibrillated polymer on a collecting face. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
