titleOfInvention Water-resistant construction material
abstract PURPOSE: To manufacture a woody construction material of superior resistance to water and resistance to humidity by impregnating preliminarily a woody material with resin oil groups and/or inorganic salts and then high temperature- pressure treating in the atmosphere including incombustible gas. n CONSTITUTION: Pines, cedars, white cedars (hinoki), oaks, lauans or the like can be used as a raw material. As for incombustible gas, inactive gas such as helium, neon, argon, krypton or the like or carbon dioxide, nitrogen gas, ammonia, sulfur dioxide or the mixture of them, with 5volume% or less of residual oxygen concentration, can be used. Heat treatment is carried out at 180-350°C, while pressure treatment is carried out at 1.1-3.5kg/cm 2 for 5 minutes or longer. As for the resin oil group used for impregnation of resin oil group and/or inorganic salts or the like, ligunin, linseed oil, terpene oil or the like is used, and water glass, lye, lime emulsion or the like is used as the organic salt. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
