PURPOSE: To provide the subject composite mixture which gives no stress crack to a molded article when it is incorporated as a flame-retardant in a polymer and is prepd. by phosphorylating a mixture of isopropylphenol contg. an isopropyl part by a specified ratio and p-alkylphenol. n CONSTITUTION: At first, phenol is brought into contact with an isopropylation agent (pref., propylene, etc.), to obtain isopropylated phenol contg. 5-65 wt.% isopropyl parts with respect to wt. of phenol parts. Then, after the isopropylated phenol and p-alkylphenol (wherein the alkyl is tert-butyl or a 5-12C alkyl) are mixed by a wt. ratio of 10:1-1:10, the phenol mixture is ordinarily reacted with a phosphroylation agent such as phosphorus pentaoide to obtain an objective product by phosphorylation. In addition, as the p-alkylphenol, p-tert-butylphenol is pref. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
