abstract | NEW MATERIAL:A 2-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-5-substituted phenyl)-hexahydro-3(2H)- shinorinoe derivative expressed by formula I (R is isopropyl or 2-propynyl). n EXAMPLE: 2-[4-Chloro-2-fluoro-5-(2-propynyloxy)phenyl]-4,4a,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-3-(2 H)-shinorinone. n USE: Useful as a herbicide and effective against noxious weeds causing problems in paddy field and farmland, especially barnyard millet, reed, umbrella plant, Japanese ribbon wapato, arrowhead, henbit, chickweed, etc., without phytotoxicity to important crops, especially rice plant. n PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (R' is lower alkyl or H) at 30-160°C to afford the compound expressed by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
