abstract PURPOSE: To remove an alcohol by permeating a dilute mixture contg. the alcohol of the concn. higher than the concn. in a raw material soln. and an oxygen-contg. material of a low concn. through a non-porous sepn. layer from its low pressure side under a gaseous phase below its vapor pressure. n CONSTITUTION: The raw material soln. is converted to a thick soln. contg. the alcohol of a ratio lower than the ratio at which the alcohol exists therein and the oxygen-contg. material of a high ratio. The dilute mixture contg. the alcohol of a ratio higher than the ratio at which the alcohol exists therein and the oxygen-contg. material of a low ratio is recovered as a permeate from the low pressure side of the non-porous sepn. layer in the gaseous phase below the vapor pressure thereof.
