titleOfInvention Deodorizing and germicidal high polymer
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a deodorant and germicidal high polymer, having high durability and capable of withstanding use for a long period by providing a cationic high polymer and binding the resultant high polymer to an anionic or amphoteric substance having deodorant or germicidal function. n CONSTITUTION: A high polymer substance (e.g. fiber or plastic) is treated with a cationic agent, e.g., a quaternary ammonium compound having chlorohydrin or epoxy group, and converted into a cationic high polymer, which is then treated with an anionic or amphoteric substance (e.g. carboxylic acid-based compound, phenolic compound or inorganic metal salt), having deodorant or germicidal action and reactive with functional groups having cations to bind the above-mentioned substance to the cationic high polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
