PURPOSE: To provide an iron-supplying beverage containing hemoferrum dissolved therein in a stable state without deposition and useful for preventing and improving iron deficiency anemia by adding a protein and/or a surfactant to a hemoferrum aqueous solution. n CONSTITUTION: After hemoferrum is dissolved in a dilute alkali aqueous solution, the resultant solution is mixed with a protein, e.g., an enzyme such as serum albumin, egg albumin, serum β- and γ-globulin, gelatin, globin, esterase, kalliklein or trypsin and/or a surfactant, e.g., a cationic surfactant such as cetylpyridinium chloride or cetyltrimethylammonium bromide in concentrations of the hemoferrum = preferably 0.001 to 1w/v%, the protein or surfactant = 0.0001 to 10w/v%, preferably 0.001 to 0.1w/v%, to provide an iron-supplying beverage containing the hemoferrum dissolved therein in a stable state without deposition even when the solution is acidic. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
