titleOfInvention Heating and melting device having deodorizing function for medical plastic injector and medical instruments
abstract PURPOSE: To suppress the occurrence of a tar component to the utmost by holding the whole of a melting atmosphere in a specific temperature area where the title injector and instruments are melted and never thermally decomposed for prescribed time. n CONSTITUTION: The used injector and instruments are thrown in a container 4 and housed in a body 1 with the container, the cover of the body is covered, the power of a heater is turned on, and the container including the injectors and instruments are heated at 180°C or above for 30 minutes or longer. Further, simultaneously with the turning ON of the heater, the power of an ozone generator 5 is turned on, an ozone gas in injected into the internal part of a furnace and decomposes a malodorous gas such as a gaseous acetaldehyde and a gaseous acetic acid generated by thermal decomposition. These gases as reaction products are passed through a path 7, either adsorbed or decomposed and removed by a decomposing medium 6, and safely dis charged to the inside of a room. The power of the heater is automatically turned off by a timer 8 after 30-60 minutes, the upper cover is opened, the container 4 is taken out, and the above-mentioned injector and instruments melted and solidified in the container are rejected as common rubbish. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
