titleOfInvention Host resistance enhancing agent against virus infection of aminoalkylnaphthalenediol
abstract NEW MATERIAL: An aminoalkylnaphthalenediaol of the formula (wherein R 1 is H, a 1-6C alkyl; R 2 is a substituted monocycloalkyl, non-substituted or substituted di- or tricycloalkyl or hetero-cycloalkyl) or an acid addition salt. n EXAMPLE: 2,5-Bis(trans-4-methylcyclohexylaminomethyl)naphthalene-1,6-diol. n USE: Useful as a host resistance enhancing agent against virus infection. This substance is safe and does not cause granulomatous inflammation as the side effect. Effective for enhancing the human host response to virus infection particularly in an immunity-injured human by chemotherapy, surgery, burns and heavy stress. n PREPARATION: A suitable naphthalenediol is reacted with formaldehyde and a compound of the formula; R 2 NH 2 in a solvent such as methanol to obtain the compound of the formula. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
