titleOfInvention | Method for finely pulverizing highly water-absorbable resin |
abstract | PURPOSE: To realize water absorbing/discharging paint not obstructing the thin film properties and transparency relating to coating properties by finely pulverizing a highly water-absorbable resin in vacuum or dry gas and mixing the finely pulverized resin with a coating raw material. n CONSTITUTION: A highly water-absorbable resin such as an acrylic acid/alcohol copolymer or a sodium acrylate polymer is finely pulverized in vacuum or dry gas using mechanical impact force due to a crushing medium. further, attapulgite {Mg 8 Al 2 Si 8 O 20 (OH) 2 8H 2 O} is added as a solid crushing aid to further finely pulverize the highly water-absorbable resin. The finely pulverized highly water-absorbable resin is mixed with a coating raw material to make it possible to realize water absorbing/discharging coating not obstructing the thin film properties and transparency relating to coating properties. Since the water absorbing speed of the highly water-absorbable resin is caused by the surface area of particles, a water absorbing or discharging speed can be markebly enhanced by finely pulverizing the particles. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
