abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a grout having a gelation time long enough to make its preparation easy and improved in penetrability by mixing a specified non- alkaline aqueous silicic acid solution with Mg(OH) 2 and/or Ca(OH) 2 and an alkali metal hexametaphosphate. n CONSTITUTION: Water glass is added to an acidic solution (e.g., aqueous sulfuric acid solution) under forcible agitation to remove the alkali from the glass and obtain a non-alkaline silicic acid solution of a pH of 1-3. This solution is mixed with Mg(OH) 2 and/or Ca(OH) 2 and an alkali metal hexametaphosphate (e.g., sodium hexametaphosphate) and, optionally, water. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
