titleOfInvention | Manufacture of core consisted of foam reinforced with glass fiber and foam molded object using foam reinforced with glass fiber as core |
abstract | PURPOSE:To prevent the separation between layers by a method in which foam of copolymer of styrene and polyolefin formed into a prescribed shape, is wrapped with glass fiber, and then the wrapping glass fiber is impregnated with reactive plastic raw material and is molded. CONSTITUTION:A foam 10 is composed of the copolymer of styrene and polyolefin in which the weight ratio of styrene component to polyolefin component is 50:50 to 90:10. Next, glass fiber 12 is wound on the foam 10, and the foam 10 is wrapped with glass fiber. The foam wrapped with glass fiber 10a is placed in a mold 14. The space 14a having the same size as that of the foam 10a so as to fit the foam 10a to said space, is formed in the mold 14. Reactive plastic raw material is injected into the mold 14 from a raw material feeding port 14b. As the reactive plastic raw material, isocyanate as a main component, or isocyanate as one component thereof (urethane resin) is used. The glass fiber 12 on the surface of the foam 10 is impregnated with the reactive plastic raw material, and is cured by reaction, whereby a solid resin layer reinforced with glass fiber is formed on the surface of the foam 10. |
