abstract PURPOSE: To easily and stepwise detect an admixture in concrete with nitrite ion detecting paper by adding a nitrite to the admixture as a tracer. n CONSTITUTION: The concrete admixture is a high-performance water reducing agent, and made from polysulfone-polycarboxylate, melamine-sulfonate, and naphthalene-sulfonate. Calcium nitrite is mainly used as the nitrite to be added as a tracer, and ≥0.1wt.% of the nitrite is added to the admixture. Test paper, which is stepwise discolored in accordance with the amt. of nitrite ion, is ordinarily used for the detection of nitrite ion to obtain the immediate result. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
