titleOfInvention | Production of beta-hydroxyamino acid |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject amino acid useful for cosmetics, etc., in high yield by reacting glycine and aldehyde in the presence of specific microorganism having serine hydroxymethyl transferase activity. n CONSTITUTION: Glycine is reacted with aldehyde in the presence of cell of microorganism belonging to Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium and having serine hydroxymethyl transferase activity or treated substance of said cell and the aimed amino acid is generated, then said amino acid is collected. Besides, a microorganism containing recombinant DNA of DNA fragment carrying genetic information participating to synthesize of serine hydroxymethyl transferase and vector DNA is preferably used as said microorganism. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
