abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the resonance body which has large acoustic vibration generation area and reproduces a powerful low-frequency sound and is reduced in noise generation by forming a foamed body after storing a flexible tube in a bent groove in the internal surface of a foaming jig along the groove, and embedding a tube in the foamed body so that part of the tube is exposed. n CONSTITUTION: The foaming jig 12 consists of two upper and lower molds 13 and 14, a recessed part 15 in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped is formed in the mold 13 in a downward direction, and a recessed part 16 in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and a semicircularly sectioned groove 17 are formed in the top surface of the mold 14. The groove 17 is bent over the entire surface of the mold 14, both ends are linked with the recessed part 16, and the overall length of the groove 17 is 1-5m. The lower half part of a box-shaped driver unit 30 is fitted in the recessed part 16 and the lower half part of the flexible tube 22 is fitted in the groove 20. Both ends of the tube 22 are connected by two connecting pipes 31 and 32 projecting from the unit 30, the internal space of the tube 22 is linked with the inside of the unit 30, and a speaker is incorporated in the unit 30. Then the top mold 13 is placed on the mold 14 and urethane foamed original liquid is injected into the jig 12 and cured. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
