titleOfInvention | Use of choline release acting agent and growth hormone-releasing hormone for preparing medicinal composition useful for differential diagnosis of somatotropin deficiency |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a composition containing a choline release acting agent and a growth hormone-releasing hormone(GHRH) and useful for a differential diagnosis of somatotropin deficiency. n CONSTITUTION: This medicinal composition is a diagnostic composition containing a choline release acting agent such as carbachol, arecoline, neostigmine and pyridostigmine with GHRH and can be used for performing a differential diagnosis whether a somatotropin deficiency is in a pituitary stage or in a hypothalamus stage. The composition is preferably prepared as in a form of an injection liquid used for an intravenous or an intramuscular injection, and the content of the choline release acting agent is in a range of 0.01-7.5wt.% and the content of GHRH is in a range of 0.001-0.75wt.% in the injection liquid. By the differential diagnosis with the composition, the most effective treatment (for the pituitary stage, a growth hormone is administered and for the hypothalamus stage, GHRH is administered) can be decided. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
