PURPOSE: To more facilitate the lamination of another polymer by covering the surface of an oriented self-supporting high modulus film with a continuous unsercoating composite consisting of the dry residue of a specified hydrolyzed aminosilane compound. n CONSTITUTION: One surface of an oriented self-supporting high modulus film (e.g.; a biaxally oriented polyethylene terephthalate film or the like) is covered with a continuous undercoating composite. This covering composite is formed of the dry residue of a hydrolyzed aminosilane compound having, in the non- hydrolyzed state, the formula I [X is a group of the formula II or the formula III (R 1 is C 1-8 alkyl, phenyl); R 2 is a hydrolytic group selected from C 1-8 alkoxy, acetoxy and halide; R 3 is non-reactive and non-hydrolytic group selected from C 1-3 alkyl and phenyl; (a) is 1-3, (b) is 0-2, and the total of (a) and (b) is 3]. This undercoating covered film shows excellent adhesive bonding for the other plastic film (e.g.; polyvinylbutyral or the like) to be laminated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
