PURPOSE:To obtain an external preparation for skin capable of preventing and improving skin disorder and physiological aging by blending an external preparation for skin with N-(2hydroxyethyl)nicotinic acid amide nitrate ester or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An external preparation for skin such as toilet lotion, milky lotion, cream, foundation or dispersion is blended with usually 0.00001-10wt.%, preferably 0.0001-5wt.%, especially 0.01-1wt.% based on total amounts of external preparation for skin of N-(2-hydroxyethyl)nicotinic acid amide nitrate ester (nicorandil) shown by the formula or a salt thereof well-known as a remedy for angina pectoris as an active ingredient to give an external preparation for skin capable of effectively preventing and improving skin disorder such as heat after sunburn, razor rash or chapped skin and physiological aging of skin. |
