abstract PURPOSE: To enable purification of water to higher extent using a combination of aeration and irradiation with electromagnetic wave by feeding air by the effect of a negative pressure generated by water in a reduced width part of a water channel and irradiating an internal wall surface of the water channel with electromagnetic wave. n CONSTITUTION: Water is supplied from a water feeding port 3 which is connected, for example, with a water ejecting pipe 6 of a faucet of city water through a connecting pipe 7. A reduced width part 8 is formed in a midway of a water channel 5, and an air introducing means 9 which introduce with forcibly by a negative pressure generated in accompany with an increase of flow rate of water flowing through said reduced width part 8. Also, an irradiating means 12 with electromagnetic wave is installed to near the reduced width part 8, where aeration and irradiation with the electromagnetic wave are performed simultaneously. Further, the energy of water flowing through a water channel 5 is reduced in a chamber 13 so as to attain sufficient aeration effect by mixing the water with the air in the chamber 13. Thus, water is purified by the combination of aeration and irradiation with electromagnetic wave, an apparatus suitable for attaining higher purification effect is obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
